Welcome to
one of the oldest established Music Studios in the Okanagan Valley, offering a variety of
educational and fun music programs year round for children, teens, college
students and adults.
Many of our students have been studying with us for several years and that
is a great testimonial to our terrific teaching staff.
As always, since we started our Music Studios in Kelowna back in the
mid-seventies, our policy has been to give students of all ages the best
possible instruction by caring teachers in a musical environment, while
keeping our fees as affordable as possible.
To those who wish it, we offer many opportunities to perform in December or
June Concerts, Music Festivals and Exams, talent competitions, Canadian
Idol, as well as various public events including Anthem singing at Rockets
games and other Sporting events, and CD recording opportunities for more
advanced and career-oriented students.
All teachers offer other incentives throughout the year, in order to
encourage students to try their hardest to reach their goals, and to reward
students when they achieve them.
We sincerely hope that you will feel "at home" in the friendly

CURRENT COURSES
Fall - Winter - Spring - Summer
Beginner through Advanced for All Ages,
‘Just For Fun’ or Career Oriented.
VOCAL INSTRUCTION
- Detailed instruction in all aspects of Singing technique,
including Voice Production, Breathing and Pitch Correction.
- Performance coaching and CD prep, including use of microphones and stage
movement from beginner stages through advanced levels.
- Any style can be studied including Pop, Country, Classical, Musical
Theatre and Jazz.
GUITAR
- Fun and comprehensive Acoustic/Electric courses for beginners through
advanced in a variety of Strumming and Finger-picking styles such as Rock,
Blues, Country and Classical.
- All aspects of the instrument are covered including Tuning, Instrument
Care, Capo Usage, Ear Training and Music Theory.
DIGITAL KEYBOARDS
- Designed to help students learn all the skills required to achieve a
satisfying standard of playing using well-known and fun songs that everyone
can enjoy.
- More advanced students can learn basic Sequencing to arrange their own
songs.
VIOLIN
ACOUSTIC
AND DIGITAL PIANO
- Exciting and fun programs for all levels and ages from beginners right
through to teaching diplomas.
- All methods are tailored to the individual student with additional
options of Chording, Jazz Improvising and Arranging and Digital Sequencing.
MUSIC THEORY
- Theory is offered as part of all instrumental/vocal courses and also as a
separate study, from Elementary Rudiments to Advanced Theory including
Harmony, Counterpoint and History.
COMPOSITION and SONG-WRITING
- Assessment and assistance in development of original material is
offered, from beginning stages up to and including recording and/or
performance.
- Advice on copyrighting and other aspects of the music business is also
available.
PERFORMANCE COACHING
- This course can be incorporated into regular Instrumental/Vocal
training.
- It covers any type of performing from solo to ensemble work, and
includes Stage Presence, Movement, Use of Mikes, Production and
Presentation.
CD DEMO PREPARATION
- Guidance in all aspects of preparing, organizing and making a demo CD.
- This course can also be part of regular instrumental/vocal training.
MUSICAL THEATRE AND DRAMA
- This is offered as part of the Vocal programs and involves Vocal and
Dramatic aspects of chosen songs from designated Musical Theatre productions.
- World renowned Trinity College London (England) Musical Theatre Examinations,
which allow the student to develop several songs within a specific theme,
complete with Costume Changes, Choreography and Dramatic Impact.
- Separate Drama Courses can be customized for each student to include
Monologues, Mime and Improvisation.
